책과 그림 모두 인간의 사유와 감상을 진보시켜왔고, 사유는 책을 통해서, 감상은 그림을 통해서 좀 더 발전되어 왔다. 책을 읽을때 우리는 어떤 구체적인 이미지를 머릿속에 떠올리기도 하고, 그림에 대한 원초적 감상이 머릿속에서 언어로 전환 되기도 한다. 그러한 사유와 감상의 밀접한 연관을 생각했을 때, 그 둘을 분리시키는 것은 불가능하다. 한마디로, 표현 방법이 다를 뿐, 뒤섞여 있는 영역이다. 적어도 내게는 그렇다.
