교수는 학생들에게 점수를 주면서 왜 그 점수가 나왔는지 항목별로 설명해준다. 그런데 학생들은 왜 내 강의를 그렇게 평가했는지 알 수가 없다. 서술형 코멘트에서 그 단초를 찾으려 애쓴다.
이번 학기 평가는 최근 몇 년간에 최저 점수를 받았다. 정말 열심히 준비하고 가르쳤는데...
내 강의는 영어강의다. 그래서 100% 영어로 했다. 교재도, 강의자료도, 시험도, 질의응답도, 공지사항도 모두 영어로 했다. 그게 옳은거 아닌가? 물론 강의계획서에 그 내용은 기술되어 있으며 강의계획서는 수강신청 이전에 공개되었다. 더구나 이 강의가 어떻게 진행될것인지에 대해 첫 시간에 상세히 알려주었고 영어강의가 불편하다면 같은 과목의 한국어강의반으로 변경해달라고 부탁했었다.
