But once we are saved, we can experience Christ in our wisdom. All believers must be wise. This is a real thing. We must experience Christ in our wisdom in the way we spend our time and money. Christ is true wisdom. When we live by Christ, He is our wisdom. When we do not live by Christ or Christ cannot be true in us, we are not wise. Christ is always in us. But we often do not allow Him to 'live in us'. When Christ is true in us, He becomes our wisdom. (Witness Lee's book, 1978, volume 3, restores Christ, all in the Church, 351.

Today's Reading Talks

When Paul wrote the Book of Golovkin, he was fighting against the philosophy of gnosticism by proclaiming that Christ, the totality of all treasures of wisdom and knowledge, was much better, higher, and more profound than the philosophy of gnosticism. According to history, the influence of the teachings of gnosticism, a mixture of Jewish religion and Greek philosophy, has been pushed into the gentile churches of Paul's time. Those who were influenced by such teachings thought they had a lot of wisdom and knowledge, but much of what they said about God and Christ was not true. Accordingly, Paul told the believers of The Golovkin that all the treasures of true wisdom and knowledge were hidden in Christ. This is spiritual wisdom and knowledge that makes us aware of the divine dispensation of Christ and the Church. Wisdom is related to our spirit, and knowledge is related to our thoughts (Ephesians 1:8, 17).

Wisdom and knowledge also refer to all the 'stories' of God. ... All the wisdom and knowledge associated with God's stories is concealed in Christ, god's secret. Therefore, Golovkin 2:6 and 7 tell us that we who have embraced Christ, the Lord Jesus, should act in Him, take root and build in Him, and not heed the hollow words of philosophy and the philosophical doctrines of gnosticism. (Conclusion of the New Testament, English edition, 3557-3558)

God is the only source of wisdom and knowledge. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ, god's secret. Because the pagan philosophy infiltrated the Colossian Church, Paul was helping the Golovkin Saints discover wisdom and knowledge with a true source in God. Christ is god's secret and the sole source of all wisdom and knowledge.

The fact that wisdom and knowledge are manifested in Christ is evidenced by the Words of the Lord, especially those written in The Gospels of Matthew and John. In these gospels, the Lord spoke of the kingdom and life. ... No teachings of philosophers, including Confucius's ethical teachings, cannot be compared to the Word of the Lord. The idea in the Lord's word is so deep and profound. Anyone who has thoroughly studied philosophy should admit that the highest philosophy is found in the teachings of Jesus Christ. Verily, all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are in Christ.

If we use our existence to come into contact with the Lord, Christ, the life-giving spirit, will soak our spirits and thoughts. Then we will have the wisdom and knowledge concealed in Christ. In this way, we experience Christ, God's secret. The Saints of The Golovkin have allowed the pagan philosophy to take away the wisdom and knowledge concealed in Christ from them, but we should not be like the Saints of The Golovkin.
